Ellianna is almost 2 years old and was born with Heterotaxy Syndrome. This condition can cause organs to be deformed, missing, or to develop in the wrong place. Because of her condition, she developed a heart defect that would be fatal without a transplant.

In September 2023, at just 3 months old, Ellie went into heart failure and was rushed to the hospital. She was hospitalized for over a year while relying on a mechanical heart (the Berlin Heart) to survive. She was finally able to have a heart transplant on November 7th 2024, and my sister (Ellianna's mom) and her family were finally able to bring little Ellianna home the next month in December.

They thought that they had made it through and hoped everything would be okay, but she was recently diagnosed with PTLD *Post-Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder) a type of lymphoma that affects transplant patients. Now our little heart warrior is back in the hospital and is fighting for her life again.

This has had a terrible impact on her parents, and are struggling to make it while their focus has to be Ellie and their other two children. They could use a village right now and if you could take a moment and keep them in your hearts we would be forever grateful.
