My name is Elke Gerber, and I’m climbing Mount Kilimanjaro — not just for the adventure, but for a cause that’s close to my heart.

With every step I take up Africa’s highest peak (approximately 60,000 steps to the summit), I’m raising funds for Healing Little Hearts Kenya, a nonprofit helping children born with congenital heart defects get the life-saving surgeries they need.
