Help Our Family Recover After a Sudden Accident
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
In the early hours of the morning, our world was turned upside down. We were on our way home from the airport after a wonderful vacation visiting family for “Camp Cousins” — something that filled our hearts with joy and connection. As we drove through rural Montana around 1 a.m. July 15th, an elk suddenly jumped into the road. We had no time to react. The impact was devastating and completely totaled our only family vehicle.
It was myself, my husband, and our 3-year-old daughter in the car. The airbags went off, and in the chaos, I suffered a broken hand. Miraculously, we are all alive and okay — and we know just how close we came to a much worse outcome.
Now we are facing a new struggle: we live far out in rural Montana, and with no vehicle, we have no way to get groceries, go to appointments, or manage daily life. My husband is a hardworking farmer in the thick of farming season, and I’m a stay-at-home mom doing everything I can to care for our daughter and household with one hand. Our funds are already stretched thin during this time of year, and we simply don’t have the means to replace our vehicle.
We are so blessed to have a dear friend, Kaitlyn Magardino, who has been bringing warm meals and offering rides — but we know we can’t lean on her forever.
We’re humbly asking for help to raise $10,000 to purchase a reliable family vehicle so we can regain our independence and get back on our feet.
Every donation, no matter the size, means the world to us. If you can’t give right now, sharing our story would be a huge help. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us through this unexpected hardship.
With love and gratitude,
The Kendrick family!
