Eliza's Eagle Project for Promise in Brevard

Promise in Brevard is a 501C(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide affordable, independent housing for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. Along with housing, Promise provides events, activities, life-skills, education, and job opportunities to its residents. It is one of few like it across the country, and its work has made a huge impact on the Brevard disabilities community.

My name is Eliza Hicks, and I am a Life Scout from BSA troop 4323. I am doing my Eagle Project for Promise in Brevard. Promise owns a building in West Melbourne called Aves' Place that they are currently using as an ice cream shop that sells ice cream and park food. They are planning to expand this and add a gourmet coffee and smoothie bar, as well as a boutique.

My project is to design the coffee and smoothie bar and implement my design, which will include painting, tiling, providing menu boards, and signage.

Aves' Place will create jobs for the residents of Promise with disabilities, as well as significantly help to raise money for Promise so that they can improve, expand, and reach out to help more people. All donations to make my vision possible would be greatly appreciated. I will post pictures of my project and design here and on a project Facebook page linked below to show my progress. Any excess funds received will be donated to Promise to help their mission.
