Life has thrown a lot of unexpected challenges at my son Hunter and me over the past year, but through everything I’ve kept moving forward and doing my best to create stability for him.
I am a single mom in New Hampshire raising my incredible son Hunter, who is on the autism spectrum. My number one priority has always been making sure he feels safe, supported, and secure. The past few months have been incredibly difficult — between transportation issues, housing uncertainty, and trying to keep everything steady for Hunter.
Recently, an opportunity finally opened up for an apartment that will allow us to stay in the area so Hunter can remain connected to his school and the routines that are so important for him. For a child on the spectrum, stability means everything, and being able to stay close to his school and support system is incredibly important.
The apartment has a move-in date of April 1st, which is sooner than I originally expected. While I’m incredibly grateful that this opportunity came through, it also means I need to come up with the security deposit and first month’s rent much sooner than I had planned.
I don’t usually ask for help, but right now I’m doing everything I can to make sure my son and I have a safe place to land.
Any support will go directly toward:
Security deposit for the apartment
First month’s rent
Helping us transition into stable housing
Even the smallest donation helps move us closer to securing this home. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us as we work toward a fresh start.
With gratitude,
Elizabeth & Hunter
