Eliza ❤️ Bear Cottage

Eliza Matilda Resch was born on May 22, 2020 with her identical twin sister Cora Scarlett.  Eliza was born at only 888 g and had multiple complications in her life due to this. At 3 weeks old, she had to be transferred to Westmead Children’s hospital to receive very specialized care. Unfortunately, her body could not handle the many obstacles and we were left with no choice but to pursue a palliative care pathway for the remainder of her life.  

This is when we made the decision to go to Bear Cottage. At Bear Cottage they provide end of life care for children as well as respite care for disabled children and their families. The love and support we received at Bear Cottage is indescribable. They became our family and made a life long impact on our family. Every person that works there is filled with love and compassion and truly makes a world of difference in the most difficult situation imaginable. 

It is impossible for us to ever express the depth of our gratitude to them, but we would like to help to ensure other families have the same opportunity we did. Please help us raise money for this phenomenal place so that countless other families can be comforted by their love and care in their time of need.
