Texas State Walk for Social Security
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Eliseo Jimenez, and I am once again setting off on another walk. Last time, I walked halfway across the country (1,657 miles) from Lubbock, Texas to Washington, DC to bring attention to the legislative bill HR 82 and to raise money for my nonprofit, New Life Foundation. But now, this time, I’m doing a state walk across the state of Texas from Lubbock to Austin. This walk will raise awareness about the importance of Social Security in our nation, and also to raise funds for Texas Retired Teachers Association, which will receive 20% of the proceeds from this GoFundMe. The other 70% will go to New Life Foundation, and 10% will go to a local Lubbock charity.
This walk is 374 miles and will take me 10 days across multiple towns. Here are the specific towns if you are curious:
Lubbock to Post (40 miles)
Post to Snyder (44 miles)
Snyder to Sweetwater (38 miles)
Sweetwater to Winters (48 miles)
Winters to Coleman (35 miles)
Coleman to Brownwood (30 miles)
Brownwood to Goldthwaite (35 miles)
Goldthwaite to Lampasas (37 miles)
Lampasas to Leander (42 miles)
Leander to Capitol (26 miles)
I will be departing from Citizens Tower in Lubbock, Texas on March 13th at 9:00 am and will walk to the state capitol in Austin, arriving on March 23rd around noon.
Thank you so much,
Sincerely,
Eliseo Jimenez
