Elise, Amber and Sara Jane’s Epilepsy Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi! We are Elise, Amber and Sara Jane. We are all Students at St. Michael School in Orland Park. We wanted to let everyone know that November is Epilepsy Awareness month! This month means a little more to us because my sister and Sara's friend, Amber, was diagnosed with Epilepsy in January. Since then, we have learned a lot about epilepsy. What it is, how to spot a seizure and safety tips. The Danny Did Foundation, was especially helpful to us in understanding epilepsy and what to do and expect. Danny Did was so helpful, we wanted to give back teaching others about epilepsy and raising fund for the Danny Did Foundation during Epilepsy Awareness Month! The funds we raise will help those in need to secure a seizure detection devices that may prevent injuries related seizures and seizure-related deaths, as well as advance public awareness of epilepsy and the risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Danny Did Foundation (Danny Did): Founded by Chicago parents Mike and Mariann Stanton in January 2010 after the sudden death of their four-year-old son Danny. The Foundation's primary mission is to prevent deaths caused by seizures. It is dedicated to advancing public awareness of Epilepsy, and enhancing the communication model between medical professionals and families impacted by seizures. The name of the Danny Did Foundation originates from the last line of Danny Stanton's obituary, written by his dad: “Please go and enjoy your life. Danny did." Part of our way of enjoying life is to give back! Just like Danny did!
