Elijah Paul Sato (7), once our miracle baby now our miracle boy survived cardiac arrest at three days old. As a result, he regularly suffers seizures. The medicines he takes to combat the seizures is not very effective. He is a candidate for testing to see if a surgical option will aid in decreasing or even stopping the seizures. 
He and his parents need to fly to California for tests to see if an implant or surgery can help him.
Because Mercy & Chaz have missed so much time from work to attend to his needs, they have no vacation or sick time left. Nevertheless the bills keep coming. 
They need assistance to cover the cost of lost wages, lodging, car rental, food, etc. while they are on mainland.
This is the first step in the process. We are not sure how many trips will be needed.
They leave for California December 9th
