Hi everyone, as many of you in Lakewood Ranch know, Elena May is one of the Ranch’s best hairstylists. Elena left her Ukrainian family 10 years ago. Elena’s daughter, Mariya (31) and her three kids (Yeva - 5, Nazar - 8, and Taras 11), needed to escape Russia’s attack on their hometown of Zhytomyr. For days now they have been stuck at the Polish/Ukraine border with very little money and no food. They’ve been spending every night in the cold. Elena’s mother and sister were not strong enough to escape. Elena has been trying to send Mariya and her grandkids money a little bit at a time. As successful a hairstylist as Elena is, it is extremely difficult for her to be to support her family here and send her daughter the money she needs to make it out of Ukraine and get settled in Poland.
