Eleanor's NICU stay -The Quinn Parson's Family
Donation protected
On March 1st, 2019 Caity Quinn delivered her daughter via c-section at 24 weeks after her water broke suddenly. It was extremely unexpected. Caity and Paul were on vacation in San Diego when this happened.
Each day is a new day with new challenges and victories. Right now, Eleanor is showing miraculous improvements but her condition is critical and she needs a lot of support.
Eleanor's expected NICU stay is a minimum of 4 months. This means that they will need to live in San Diego while continuing to pay for their home and other expenses in Indiana.
The stress of having a sick child is very difficult, but on top of that being away from home adds immense financial pressure. Caity and Paul are staying with a very loving Bahai family, but there are still many expenses. One of them being childcare for William in San Deigo so that they can be in the NICU where he is not allowed.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Sharing this campaign would also be very helpful!
(Please note that all donations are in CAD dollars. 1$ CAD= 0.75$ USD.)
Update March 22/2019:
Eleanor has really been improving over the past week, it is truly a miracle. One of the spots in her lungs that had been consistently collapsed opened up yesterday, and in general her lungs are looking much better on her x-rays! Her vitals have been stable, she has gone down on the amount of oxygen support she needs, and she is up to 8.5 ml of milk per feed. She has gained 80 grams! The doctors have been fairly positive and told us that although there may be setbacks in the future again, she is on a good trajectory at the moment. The next step is getting extubated, and being able to use a breathing mask instead of the ventilator for breathing support. Thank you so much for all of your continual prayers, we are so so grateful, and it is truly making a difference!
We are so overwhelmed and grateful for all of the love and generous support we have received during this difficult time for our family. We cannot believe how many have donated, said prayers, reached out with kind messages, bought food and donated clothes to our family. You are all truly angels, and we are eternally grateful for your love.
