Hi,

My name is Meda Okelo. I am the publisher of El Ravenswood, a monthly magazine serving the informational needs of the City of East Palo Alto and the Belle Haven neighborhood of the City of Menlo Park. I am publishing a special pre and post election issue of the magazine this October and November. The magazine is distributed freely to those communities although there are people that subscribe to it that live in other parts of California as well as other states in the US.

I started the magazine in 2015 and for the first couple of years personally funded while we sought to gain a foothold in people's minds.

Candidates running for office, particularly in public agencies with a multi-jurisdictional footprint tend to ignore the two communities and El Ravenswood in the past has gathered and disseminated information about candidates and issues of importance to residents in the two communities to help inform their vote.

Funds will be used to pay for the expenses of the magazine, editing, graphic design, printing and distribution.
