Matthias nació 14 de diciembre de este 2018 trayendo a nuestra casa el amor más grande que nunca imaginamos.
El 15 de diciembre fue ingresado al hospital nacional de niños de Costa Rica, por una cardiopatía que hace de nuestro Mati un bebé con un corazón único.
Aún y cuando en el HNN han tratado a nuestro guerrero con todo para que salga adelante, su condición tan unica hace imposible su tratamiento en este hospital.
Hablando con sus cardiólogos nos han recomendado operarlo en Boston y para eso necesitamos su ayuda. Mati seguirá luchando como desde el día en que nació pero con ayuda de todos su lucha va a ser más fácil.
Acá un poco más de información acerca de la condición de nuestro súper guerrero:
"El tronco arterial común, a veces denominado “tronco común”, es un defecto congénito (presente al nacer) del corazón en el que solamente una válvula común sale del corazón (la válvula troncal), en vez de dos válvulas (la válvula aórtica y la válvula troncal). Puede ocurrir por sí sola, o ser parte de ciertas anomalías genéticas.
Los casos de tronco arterial común pueden variar dependiendo de la forma en la que las arterias pulmonares salen de la aorta. Junto con los diferentes tipos, existen niveles variables de complejidad para este diagnóstico. En el tronco arterial común, generalmente se encuentra un agujero entre los dos ventrículos (comunicación interventricular) que hace que se mezclen la sangre pobre en oxígeno (azul) con la sangre rica en oxígeno (roja); mucha sangre va a los pulmones, y el corazón trabaja más duro para bombear la sangre hacia el resto del cuerpo.
En esta enfermedad, la válvula troncal generalmente es anormal. Puede estar engrosada o angostada, lo que puede bloquear la sangre que sale del corazón, o puede tener una pérdida, que hace que la sangre que sale del corazón se fugue de vuelta hacia adentro del corazón a través de la válvula. La presencia de angostamiento y pérdida predice resultados menos favorables."

On December 15 he was admitted to the National Children's Hospital of Costa Rica (NCHC) , due to a heart disease that makes Mathi a baby with a unique heart.
Despite all the effort that the NCHCR has done to treat our our warrior, his condition so unique that makes his treatment impossible in this hospital.
His cardiologists have recommended to operate him in Boston, and for that we need your help. Mathi will continue fighting as from the day he was born but with everyone's help his fight will be easier.
Here is a little more information about the condition of our super warrior:
"The common arterial trunk, sometimes called" common trunk ", is a congenital defect (present at birth) of the heart in which only a common valve leaves the heart (the trunk valve) instead of two valves (the aortic valve and the trunk valve). It may occur on its own, or be part of certain genetic abnormalities.
Common arterial trunk cases may vary depending on how the pulmonary arteries exit the aorta. Along with the different types, there are variable levels of complexity for this diagnosis. In the common arterial trunk, there is usually a hole between the two ventricles (ventricular septal defect) that causes poor blood to mix in oxygen (blue) with oxygen-rich (red) blood; a lot of blood goes to the lungs, and the heart works harder to pump blood to the rest of the body. In this disease, the trunk valve is usually abnormal. It may be thickened or narrowed, which can block the blood coming out of the heart, or may have a loss, which causes the blood leaving the heart to leak back into the heart through the valve. The presence of narrowing and loss predicts less favorable outcomes."
