Support Ahmed’s Journey to Restore Hope

Hello everyone, and warm greetings to you all,

My name is Ahmed, I’m 29 years old, and I live in the heart of the Gaza Strip. I’m a voice-over artist, English teacher, and freelance translator with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the Islamic University of Gaza.

Before the war upended our lives, I had the joy and privilege of working with clients from around the globe—bringing stories, advertisements, and messages to life with my voice. It wasn’t just a profession; it was my passion, my purpose, and the foundation that supported my small, loving family.

But in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

For over 560 days, my wife and I—along with our two little daughters, Sarah (5) and Yasmine (3)—have been trapped in a nightmare with no end in sight. We’ve been displaced time and time again, forced to abandon our homes in search of safety. We’ve endured freezing nights beneath the open sky, days with barely enough food, and countless hours under the deafening roar of falling bombs.

We’ve come face-to-face with death more times than I can bear to remember. And yet, by some miracle, we’re still here—clinging to hope, and to each other.

Every day is a fight for survival. And yet, each morning, I wake up with a single thought: What can I do today to keep hope alive for my family?

Before the war, I was proud to be the sole provider for my wife and daughters. I built a career as a freelancer on platforms like Upwork, Mostaql, Fiverr, and Khamsat. My voice-over work was more than just a job—it was our lifeline. But now, everything I relied on is gone. My laptop, microphone, audio interface—everything I used to earn a living has been destroyed. We don’t even have electricity, let alone a quiet or safe place to record.

Since October 7, I’ve had no source of income. I can’t buy fresh food or vegetables for my daughters. I can’t afford clean water, medicine, or even the most basic essentials. My little girls are growing up in the shadow of war—and I stand by, helpless, watching them face hunger, fear, and uncertainty no child should ever endure.

That’s why I’m reaching out today—not as a professional, but as a father, a husband, and a human being who wants nothing more than to rebuild his life and give his family a chance at a better tomorrow.

I’ve started this campaign with one urgent goal: to raise enough funds to buy a solar panel and battery system—so I can power the tools I need to work again. With electricity, I can return to freelancing. I can record voice-overs, translate documents, teach English online, and slowly, piece by piece, rebuild what we’ve lost.

I’m not asking for charity—I’m asking for a chance.
A chance to stand on my own two feet.
A chance to give my daughters fresh food, clean water, and safety.
A chance to live with dignity and purpose once more.

Your support—no matter how big or small—can help make that possible. Every donation brings us closer to stability. Every act of kindness becomes a spark of light in these dark times.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story.
Thank you for believing that even in the face of destruction, there’s still space for hope, compassion, and second chances.

With gratitude and hope,
Ahmed
