Help Corey Rebuild

Most people know Corey has a hard worker and a good friend. He is always there to lend a hand or an ear, to build something big and amazing, to fix whatever is broken, and to work tirelessly to get things done. Well, our friend who has given so much is now in need, and we’re asking you to please contribute… in any way you can.
Background… Corey was already in a challenging situation. A few weeks ago, he got word that he was getting kicked out of his apartment. Because he was short on cash, a few of us came together to help Corey rent a storage unit and a U-Haul so he could at least secure all of his tools, art, computers, hard drives, photo albums, camera equipment, clothing, and home goods. Several friends helped Corey load the box truck on Friday and into Saturday morning. Exhausted from 36 hours of lifting and carrying, Corey took a short break in the early hours of Saturday, and he came out to find his bad situation had become his WORST NIGHTMARE…
The box truck was gone. Yes, stolen. Fortunately, the truck was found on Monday, but most everything of any value was removed. Yup, pretty much all that Corey owns, has made, and had collected over his many years in LA have been taken away from him.
For those who know Corey, he really doesn’t like being the center of attention and isn’t one to ask for help. He’s ambivalent that we’re even doing this GFM for him. But he does find himself in one of the most challenging situations he’s ever been in, and he has very few options at the moment. He really could use the support of his friends and community.
How can you help? Well, there are a few ways…
First, if you’re in a position to assist Corey financially, please please give what you can.
Second, if you’re not in a place to give money (or, if you can do both)... please consider reaching out to Corey if you have extra stuff that you think he could use, especially tools, computers, camera equipment, and home goods.
Third, Corey is incredibly talented and can build or repair pretty much anything. If you have some art you’ve wanted to commission or something around your home that needs to be fixed, Corey would love the work.
Lastly, Corey could use some friends right now. Please check in on him, pick up the phone, drop him a text, or make plans to grab a meal together. We have all been in low spots, and we each know how much it helps to have our friends around.
Corey isn’t alone. He’s got all of us. C’mon y’all, let’s do this!
