Trenton’s VFW Post 1888 was established in 1931 with 39 members, and is a tax-exempt organization that has donated to local school sports programs and provided scholarships for students such as Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy, as well as Toys for Tots, among other charities for 89 years.

COVID-19 has had its effects widespread across the nation, as everyone knows, and Trenton VFW Post 1888 is no different. The Post had to shut its doors on March 16th like many other businesses, losing the ability to fund itself. The same bills are coming in every month, and no revenue to pay them. The Post did not qualify for any Federal Aide. Really, the Veterans cannot get a dime???

It would be a shame to see it close. It has been an asset to the community and has provided a place where our Veterans can congregate and plan local charity events.
