When a child's world is turned upside down, SOS Children’s Villages UK works to give them a home and a family with siblings and a trained SOS parent. They provide communities where children can grow up from infancy to adulthood with quality education and medical care.
Their emergency work ensures that children and their families coping with conflict and disaster receive immediate life saving support, while their psycho-social and reintegration programmes provide the care and skills to rebuild lives. They also advocate for children's rights and the improvement of quality care at international, national and local levels, encouraging children to have a voice in the decisions that affect them.
