Éimhín and the Flying Seagulls in the Middle East

Hello, my name is Éimhín O'Connor! As some of you will know I will be volunteering with the Flying Seagulls for their Middle East Medley Project very soon. I will be working with children and teens in refugee camps across Lebanon and Jordan and I am fundraising to help cover part of the travel expenses.

The Flying Seagull Project is an international circus troupe of performers, magicians, clowns, artists and musicians who are united by the belief that a daily smile should be the right of every child.

The Flying Seagulls are dedicated to spreading love, light, and laughter to hospitals, orphanages, additional needs schools, refugee camps, and marginalized communities facing challenging circumstances around the world. Having worked with the Seagulls since 2019 this will be my 5th and longest project with them, after previously joining on projects in Calais, Gdansk and Samos so far.

I will be with the Seagulls from the end of April and all of May 2023. Starting in Lebanon and then mostly in Jordan, working in various refugee settlements- with some camps hosting up to 80,000 people.

On previous projects I have covered the costs myself, but given that this is the longest and furthest yet I am struggling to cover the full amount of travel expenses, such as flights, visas, and travel insurance.
