We are Livingston Rugby Football Club, and one of our own needs our help.
Eilidh is known for being bright and bubbly and always looking to lend a hand where needed. You will have seen her around the club over the past few years, either putting on her boots to play for the ladies' team, behind the bar pouring pints, or sitting in the stands supporting the team.
At the start of the year, Eilidh started having seizures and was rushed to the hospital, where she had to undergo multiple tests and scans. Devastatingly, the diagnosis results came back as having a brain tumour. Since then, Eilidh has had to take a lot of medication daily to keep her condition as stable as possible whilst the medical team decide the best form of treatment. It has been agreed that Eilidh will be admitted to hospital on the 12th May to undergo brain surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible.
The road to recovery will be long, but knowing Eilidh, her fabulous nature and with the support of her family and friends, she'll smash it.
Eilidh has not been able to work since getting this diagnosis, with the medications she is on, so we would like to come together and raise money to make things a little easier for her whilst in recovery.
We are hosting a fundraising event in the rugby club on Saturday, 10th May, an 80s-themed party. We hope you can all make it, have a boogie and help raise funds for one of our own or if you would like to donate some money to our GoFundMe, here is the link.
