Eight kids lose father on Christmas Day

Donation protected
Hello My Name is Robin Gillyard. I am fundraising for my 8 niece and nephews. This has been such a trying year for everyone but especially for my immediate family. My 33 year old sister passed away suddenly on November 28, 2020. March 3rd of 2021, six days before my sisters birthday my mother passed away also. Us a family were of course devastated. We lost two in such a short time. My brother definitely took it the hardest. He was a full on mommas boy. Of course the year was spent trying to move on but he went into such a deep depression. Being as though he is not one to pour out his feelings or tell you what is wrong with him we just thought he was grieving the best way he knew how. Thanksgiving of this year he let the family know that he was depressed and had been for a while. He expressed missing our mom and sister and also him not feeling well. He was even missing time from work trying to get things figured out. He even started to seek help. The beginning of December he was rushed to the hospital and put in ICU. The diagnosis at this time was Diabetic Ketoacidosis. His body was fully acidic and he was now newly diabetic on top of everything else that he was dealing with. He turned 36 on December the 14th and was released from the hospital on Dec 17th. He was then again rushed to the hospital on December 21st with a pulse oxygen level of 62. Diagnosis on this date was Covid Pneumonia. Per my conversation with the nurse on December 24th he was due to be released before the new year came. She told me that he was off everything except 6 liters of oxygen that would be decreased by one liter daily. Christmas Day he was alert and well as we text and he was able to facetime his kids for Christmas and watch them open gifts. Christmas night at 10:06 we recieved a phone call that he was found unresponsive on the floor of his hospital room and they were not able to save him. I do not understand how this could happen in general but especially to a hard working father who lived for his children. He was the father of 8 beautiful kids. This go fund me is for them. We always talked about us not having a childhood home to go to and he swore that it would never be that for his children. I am praying that we as a family raise enough money for that to come true. I am hoping that being able to stay in the home that he worked so hard to provide for them does not have to be another thing they lose. Please Help us and donate anything that you can. God is good and I have faith that all of this is some part of his plan. Be blessed.
