My mum has a large fibroid and urgently needs her a fibroid annd other things removed. Doctors have said it’s serious, but she’s been placed on a waiting list that could take years. We’ve seen multiple GPs and private doctors, but nothing is being done quickly(unless money is involved) and her condition is only getting worse. She’s in pain every single day. She’s bled so heavily that she’s passed out on the floor. She struggles to do even basic things around the house, and the medication she’s on leaves her feeling completely drained. The fibroid has also made her stomach swell, affecting her body image and confidence. Most days, she feels low, defeated, and depressed. We’re trying to raise funds for private surgery to get her the help she needs. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving her some relief.
