In 2023 while volunteering as a Change Maker for the Denver Rescue Mission, Lawrence Street, one of our guests asked me a simple question:
“When will we have eggs for breakfast again?” That question stuck with me.
Eggs used to be a regular part of breakfast. Rising costs and growing demand changed that. Donations slowed, and something basic—but meaningful—disappeared from the plate.
That’s why we started The EggCellent Breakfast Foundation
- 2024 - Provided over 6,000 eggs for breakfast.
- 2025 - Provided nearly 38,000 eggs and 21,000 meals
- 2026- To provide over 50,000 eggs and a breakfast each week
Our Commitment to you, our Donors
- 100% of the fund goes directly to egg purchases. We will cover any GoFund me fees.
- We will purchase every egg directly and crack \ serve the majority.
- Focus on the Lawrence Street Location. This population is by far the most distressed and eggs for breakfast can make the whole day better.
- We will raise funds from Jan 8 to March 30th. Eggs will be bought beginning in April
- Monthly updates on impact and fund expenditures.
