Albert Hazen was born June 7th 1955, he was raised in Brooklyn and up state NY. His father passed when he was ten years old and he took responsibility of keeping his family together and cared for as the youngest of three siblings. He enlisted into the army during the Vietnam War and was strong and lucky enough to come home. Shortly after he met is wife Ingrid in 1976 and were married by 1978 and joined the fire department in Plainfield NJ September 6th 1978. He climbed the ladder in the fire department up to the role of deputy chief. AL played a big role in public education for fire prevention and safety for family and children alike. During that time him and his wife adopted a baby girl from India their daughter Marisa in 1985. Shortly after they had found out they were pregnant and had their son George in 1992. As their family became whole on the side Albert had his own business in photography and video for special events and weddings called "Sentimental Reasons Video". After a while he started a new company with his wife Ingrid called Purple Hazen DJ Entertainment where they both brought love and joy to thousands of people over the years no matter if they were entertaining an event for children or adults. During all those times from the fire department to entertainment they included themselves in many different charities for all different organizations locally a lot were to help and care for children in need. Over time the family moved down to Florida where they continued their journey together. Albert continued to be an exceptional public figure and took as much time as he could to benefit others around him even if he didn't know them. Him and Ingrid both became a part of Guardian Ad Litem to help children in the area that they lived in. Over the years he became involved in other groups who put their time in to help children and adults who have cancer like Saint Baldrics and others. At the end of the summer of 2022 Albert Hazen was Diagnosed with a terminal case of liver cancer in the 4th stage that derived from his previous illness Hepatitis C. He was told from the beginning that there are no options for surgery or treatment for his cancer and just go home and enjoy the days you have left. He fought happily and hard through an entire year and continued to donate his time to entertain and help other people until he just could not get around to walk anymore. The loving people around him locally have been by his side month by month as well as his friends and family from all over the world. It started to come to an end during the week prior of his passing where he lost ability to stand, eat or move. He lost all coherence and faded away until August 6th 2023 where he took his last breath at 7:55 am.

His family is fighting to hold themselves together because he would not want them to mourne in sadness. They are preparing for a celebration of life and working towards making it as important as the man himself.
