My name is Nancy lakot as a young social entrepreneur and farmer from Lokung East Sub-County, Lamwo District, Uganda, I've witnessed the devastating impact of climate change on my community. Despite the challenges, I remain committed to creating positive change. This year, I'm seeking £250 to support climate-resilient agricultural initiatives and girls' empowerment programs in my community.

The Problem:

Climate change has significantly impacted farming in my village, threatening the livelihoods of my community. As a farmer, I've experienced the harsh consequences of excessive rainfall and changing weather patterns. Moreover, climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, particularly girls and women.

My Story:

Last year, I faced personal challenges when my mother was diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer. Despite the financial burden, I started a small restaurant to support my family's needs. This year, I'm focusing on commercial farming and promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices in my community

My journey is driven by a vision to build a sustainable future for my community. The main goal of my struggle is to create a sustainable foundation that will one day enable me to build schools in Lokung Sub-County. I believe that education is the key to unlocking potential, and I'm committed to supporting girls' education and empowerment.

The Solution:
