Hi, my name is Jen and I’m fundraising for my sister Mary and her family.
This past March, Mary was diagnosed with stage 3-4 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer). At 35 years of age, this is the last thing anyone would expect to have to endure. Fortunately, her diagnosis came with some good news. The good news is that Mary’s cancer is treatable (Praise God!). The bad news is that the treatment plan Mary’s care team believes will give her the best odds for beating this is a very intense treatment plan that would last between 9-12 months and would not allow her to continue working during that time.
Mary has already been removed from work and is receiving disability benefits, however, those benefits only make up about 60% of her full time wages. The 40% shortfall to Mary’s income during this time, along with the amount of medical bills that are already piling up, is leaving Mary and her family in a financial crisis.
For those of you that know Mary, you know that she is a doer, a helper and a giver! Anytime that she hears of someone in need, she is quick to jump in and help however she can. Not because she has to, but because she genuinely wants too. Well…now she needs each of us!
If you have the means and can find it in your hearts to donate to this fund, I assure you it will be greatly appreciated by both Mary & Justin and help to relieve some of that financial burden and worry that they are feeling right now.
If you have questions or want to help in other ways, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you in advance and God bless!
