The Forgotten Island - Our future relies on YOU!

Emma and Cassie volunteer for The Islanders Youth and Community Centre. They are raising money for a COMPLETE RENOVATION and every donation will help.

How?

By walking from Lands End back to the Islanders Club during easter half term... over 200 miles!

Why?

Following the Forgotten Towns report on BBC South Today, which the Club was featured in, the shocking reality of our situation on Portland is just too much for us to bare! And the response from the council? Don't get me started! But the crux is... we are on our own!

Our building is old and in complete disrepair... our windows, doors and plumbing are all shot and desperately need replacing... this could close our doors :'( ... The structure on the building needs checking, the roof needs repairing and the rusted guttering needs replacing.

It's a lot we know! BUT these are all BASIC things we need to do just to keep the doors open! This doesn't even touch our rejuvenation projects like the outside spaces. We have been in desperate need of some love and attention for YEARS and now... WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS US AND WE WILL BE HERE FOR THEM!!!
