Hello, my name is Jake Hanley and I have been Scouting since I was six years old. I have always been active in my Troop and was the Senior Patrol Leader for two years. Shortly after I finished my Eagle Scout required Merit badges and leadership requirments I was diagnosed with bone cancer which set me back over a year from completing my Eagle Scout service project. Now that I have completed my treatments and post surgery therepy I am happily back into Scouting and ready to start and complete my project. I have planned and designed a multipurpose seating area at my old elementary and middle school for parents and family members to sit while they wait to pick up their kids after school. It can also be utalized as an outdoor classroom or reading area. Scouting has been a great experience for me and it has tought me many skills that will be valuable to me into the future. I appreciate your support and will update through this site and upload pictures to share my journey.  Any remaining funds after the project is complete will be donated to help kids fighting childhood cancer.  Jake
