Edwin and his family

I'm raising money for Edwin, my roommate from Kenya and a Jumbo who embodies Tufts’ values. He was selected as one of 15 inaugural scholars for the Small Business 101 program and is an active member of Black Students in Computer Science (BSCS). Outside of class, he is dedicated to the Africana Center and competed in varsity cross country.

On top of academics and extracurriculars, he works at Dewick dining hall to cover his sisters’ college tuition and living expenses as his family navigates financial challenges. Along the way, Edwin has faced devastating personal calamities that have only burdened him further; because of them, he is fighting for his family's survival.
