My name is John Casey and I am raising money for my very good friend Lee Daniels. Lee was admitted to the ER on 11/13 with Severe abdominal pain. He was diagnosed with severe diverticulitis and his colon had ruptured. Emergency surgery was done that day and was expected to be going home in a week or 2. During that first surgery they found that they needed to go back 2 additional times for a total of 3 surgeries in as many days. He had a lot of infection that needed to be removed and repaired. He was sepsis from the start and has been on many strong antibiotics. He is currently still on a ventilator and sedated because of the infection and the amount of healing he has to do. Being on the ventilator is a concern because he has COPD and it is taking longer to wean him off. He is responding well to the breathing trials they started yesterday but has a long road a head of him for recovery. Lee’s partner Lisa has been doing everything possible to hold their home together including taking over what jobs that Lee had scheduled for his handyman business.

It has been a nightmare for them to say the least.
