Hi everyone. My brother runs his karaoke business and has meet a lot of people. He recently tried to help one of his patrons that was in need of some place to stay due to a situation at her current resident. And with my brother always have the kind heart that he does, allowed her to stay in his house temporarily while she gets back up on her feet. (No romantic intrest) just the kind soul that my brother has.
After two months, she got very aggressive telling my brother what to do in the house, and friction started to build. So my brother decided that her stay was not welcome anymore.
When my brother tried to kick her out, because of an over stayed welcome, she grew even more aggressive. Now my brother has guns in a gun safe including a rifle, she decided to call the police and tell them lies that my brother had a machine gun and told multiple other lies, while he was at work. When he got home he found the cops waiting for him and at gun point they arrested my brother. She had obtained a search warrant that was granted before he got home and when the police couldn’t get into his gun safe , they felt it necessary to hand cuff him aggressively.
Long story short my brother had to pay a retainer fee of 15,000.00. After he told his story to his lawyer he dropped it to 10,000.00 flat. My brother mustard up 3600.00 which was not easy because the arrest alerted the school district and they fired my brother in the spot. And now he is unemployed.
The kicker is the woman still lives in the home with my brother but all he can do is serve a 90 day eviction notice. And there is still no guarantee that she will try something else. At this point my brother faces 25 years if convicted.
I’m hoping I can raise at least his lawyer fees and hope that they won’t convict him - I don’t think they will because there was no wrong doing but he still has to go through the court process.
He may still get his job back but in the mean time he has to play all of this out.
