Education fund for African students out of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war, the Global Black Coalition has supported vulnerable members of our community, students, families, women and children.

 

For the last two months we have been meeting with university officials, professors and many students who expressed the desire to pursue their studies.

 

We have organized many online information sessions between students fleeing the war in Ukraine and universities in Canada, the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.

 

We are grateful that many universities have started to send acceptance letters to students.

 

Many students and parents chose Ukraine because of affordability. Unfortunately, because of the war, many of them now have to relocate and integrate universities that are, at times, 3 times more expensive than the university that they were attending in Ukraine.

 

As of now, we are assisting over 500 students to apply to universities and enroll in universities.

The majority of them need assistance with their school fees :

 

- registration fees

- Scholarship (university fee)

 

Through this fund, we are hoping to assist a great amount of student and cover a big part of their school fees.

 

Many of our students are going through quite a lot. Not only are they traumatized by the war, but many of them have faced and are still facing discrimination and racism in many bordering countries of Ukraine and European countries.

 

Every donation received on this page will go directly to the GBC’s scholarship for students fleeing the war in Ukraine. Payments will be made to the students' universities.
