Edna's Nursing Home Expenses

Dear Friends and Family,

It is never easy to ask for help. My Mom’s bill at the Mayfair Care center is $4,770.00 and I cannot afford to pay it. All of her social security income is used to pay Medicare and Medicaid and that leaves her with only $50.00 a month. The remaining $50.00 isn’t even enough to cover her phone bill. Right now, I feel overwhelmed and have nowhere to turn.

In addition to asking for help with my Mom’s expenses, I am asking for some personal items which are essential to me as I struggle to pay my bills. My desktop computer died suddenly and I am in desperate need of a sofa and a comfortable bed for a back injury.

My most pressing need is my Mom and her nursing home expenses followed by a desktop computer.

To be honest, my current economic situation is difficult and I live on social security plus a limited amount of part-time income. Life is a continuing struggle for me with compromised health and limited resources. I work hard to get ahead but have reached an impasse with no solution in sight.

Many people never fully understand how hard it is to ask for help. It’s a humbling experience to have to ask for help.
