Support for Janet N Nzuki’s Family & Charity Football Event.

Hello, my name is Ransome Oginni, and I am reaching out to you as the former player manager of the Elim Leytonstone Church football club. I am writing this on behalf of the family of Janet Ndunge Nzuki, who sadly passed away on the 14th of March, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. Janet was an incredibly kind, selfless, and caring woman, whose gentle nature brought a smile and a sense of peace to many who met her.

Janet was the loving mother of Matthew Okello (39 years old), Grace Okello (37 years old), and Joshua (16 years old). Joshua, who has Down syndrome, was especially close to Janet, who dedicated much of her life to ensuring he received the care and love he needed. Janet also had one granddaughter, 10-year-old Naomi, whom she adored.

In the years that Elim Leytonstone Church football club was active (2009-2016), Janet’s eldest son, Matthew, dedicated years of service to the club, both as a player and as a coach. In honour of Janet’s memory and to support her family during this difficult season of life, the past players of Elim Leytonstone Church football club are organizing a charity reunion football event. This event will be a tribute to Janet's life and a celebration of the community she so deeply cared for.

We are humbly asking for you to join us, and take part in adding your support to help us raise our target fund amount of £4000. We wish to raise the money through this GoFundMe page and the charity football event to support Janet’s family and the causes that were so dear to her heart.

The funds raised will go towards:

Supporting Joshua's ongoing care and needs.

Donating to Whitefield School. An amazing school that supports children with special educational needs. An Introduction to Whitefield Academy Trust

Donating to Macmillan Cancer Support. An amazing charity that supports families affected by cancer. Janet wanted to donate to this charity, and her family have expressed gratitude to them for all they did. Janet’s daughter Grace stated, “They helped her tremendously in her journey.”

Donating to Down’s Syndrome Association. This wonderful charity supports people who have Down’s syndrome, and their parents and carers, throughout their lives. The DSA - walking alongside you.

• Helping to cover the costs of the charity match event.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and is truly appreciated by the family. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your friends and family.

Thank you for your generosity and support in honouring Janet’s beautiful life.

Updates will be shared on social media.
