‘Edible Art Bake-Off’ for Food Banks

With the current economic climate, many families, individuals & vulnerable persons are feeling more pressure than ever when it comes to providing the basic essentials.
More people than ever are attending food banks, and the range of people seeking their services aren’t pigeonholed to the stereotype that people may think.
The elderly, jobless, vulnerable, working professionals, NHS staff and even reports of educational staff have sought their services in the last few months and times are only getting harder.
Growing up, Edible Art owner, Damien Wager, became homeless with his mother & young brother, and was no stranger to the help available and generosity of strangers. Now, in a position to help others rather than receive, Damien wants to raise funds to support families in need and will be hosting a 24-hour macaron bake off at his patisserie in Cheltenham.
Damien, accompanied by his chef Kacper, will take to the kitchen for a gruelling 24 hours in which they will be making macarons non-stop. With guest appearances from other Chefs, this event will run from 10am on January 5th 2023 - 10am on the 6th.
The thousands of macarons made over the course of the 24-hour period will be available to purchase on the 6th of January from 10am - 3pm. All funds raised from the sales as well as the donations on this fundraiser will then be split between selected food banks & we will liaise carefully to determine whether the funds or actual food donations would be more beneficial, depending on the food banks preference & time restraints. Of course, we will share the figures & selected food banks when necessary upon delivery to each.
Everyone at Edible Art understands the cost of living crisis is affecting everyone, and we appreciate any and all donations/support towards this event. January is a hard month for all and we wish to do what we can to help where we can, doing what we love. Thank you
