Edgell's Pea Viner Restoration

Donation protected
The Millthorpe Museum is currently restoring the last Edgell's Pea Viner.

The Pea Viner was one of the last viners from Edgells in Bathurst and was donated to Millthorpe Museum by Greg Richards of Simplot (who purchased Edgells). The viner was scheduled to be scrapped but a change visit to the museum saw it donated in 2008. Unfortunately, the Pea Viner had wood borer and wood rot in the timbers, so emergency works had to be started to stop it spreading to the rest of our large collection.

We are now fundraising to have funds to replace timbers, purchase chemical for borer treatment and paint for restoration.

The Millthorpe Museum (Millthorpe & District Historical Society) is a registered charity, and all donations are tax deductible. Works are to be undertaken by our Projects and Maintenance Group (similar to Mens Shed).
