To help start up the B-Loved Project

Hi, I'm Lizzy, and I head up a Christian ministry called EDGE - Every Day God Encounters. At EDGE, we work with young girls and women across the UK through online and in-person events. We also produce resources like books, devotionals and themed packs.

Our newest project we have set up is called B-Loved. Through the B-Loved project, we will create craft-themed packs for children's hospitals to give to their patients (boys and girls) while they wait hours to be seen by a doctor in A&E. Some examples of the themes are Jungle, Mermaids, Easter and Jonah and the Big Fish.

We will also be making care packs for children's hospitals to give to parents who are stuck unexpectedly in the hospital overnight with their child. These packs will include the essentials to get parents through the first 24 hours, such as a toothbrush, shower gel, a cereal bar and many more.

I grew up spending time in and out of the hospital, especially during my teenage years. I know what it is like to have to wait hours to see a doctor and how much parents have to spend when their child unexpectedly has to stay in hospital to keep their child happy and entertained. We want to bring joy and love to these children and their families when they need it most because everyone needs to know that they are loved and that they matter.
