As some of you know my father, Edgar, had an unfortunate fall that led to both hemispheres in his brain bleeding. He had to have emergency burr holes surgery, July 2 2025, to drain the blood from his head. While in recovery at the ICU my father had 3 separate ischemic strokes, one in his Thalamic region, Corpus Callosum and mid brain.
While my father has shown us that he listens by squeezing our hand, fluttering his eyes and occasionally muttering, he has not woken up since his surgery.
This burden has fallen heavily on me, my siblings and family while we navigate his health, affairs and the dreaded hospital and Rehabilitation Bills as well. We are not giving up on him because his family knows he is strong enough to come back from this and at least talk to us or look at us or both before we can care for him at home.
My father was a hardworking man who offers his help to those around him. All the support that he has received from his family and friends shows us how resilient my father is.
If you are able and willing to help, my family and I would truly appreciate any help that can come from you. Whether it's advice, prayers or any dollar that comes our way. Your help will be used towards medical bills, home health equipment and therapy. May god bless you all.
