Our fertility story starts in late 2020 after Eddie and I got married. I had just gotten off birth control and we figured it might take a moment to get pregnant but we never imagined we’d still be waiting over three years later.
Since starting this journey I have learned I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS has unfortunately made it difficult to lose weight, causes irregular menstrual cycles, and negatively affects fertility.
We have been working with fertility doctors since 2021 and after three surgeries, multiple procedures and endless tests and exams we were cleared to try Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) treatments in 2023. So far the IUI’s have been unsuccessful and if we don’t see results after the next couple of procedures our doctors want to start In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments. One IVF procedure alone can cost around $12,000 with NO guarantees of it working. Since fertility treatments are not covered under insurance we pay out of pocket for each appointment. It has been draining both mentally and financially.
We have decided to step out of our comfort zone and ask for support. With encouragement from our family and friends, we are now reaching out to community to help us continue this journey.
If you are able to help in any way, please consider donating to help Eddie and I to make our dreams of becoming parents a reality.
**All funds and proceeds will go towards paying for any treatments, doctor visits, medications and any other expenses related to our fertility journey.**
We appreciate any and every donation along with the thoughts and prayers.
