Ecuador Expedition for Molly

Hi, my name is Molly and I am fundraising to take part in a Camps International expedition to Ecuador in the summer of 2024 when I will be 16.

Camps International are a global social enterprise with philanthropic aims at heart that provide ethical journeys with impact. That sounds good to me.

During my four-week expedition to Ecuador, I will be staying in several community-based camps in different areas of Ecuador. I will be taking part in local community projects which will have lasting positive change by supporting rural and indigenous communities to improve their living standards. Wildlife projects that will help conserve, protect and enhance the world’s most fragile ecosystems to benefit the wildlife, many of which are critically endangered. Environmental projects aimed to reduce the negative impact of our activities on the planet and to protect wild spaces for the benefit of generations to come. At the end of the trip, I will head to the coast to complete my PADI open water course, something I have always wanted to do.

I'm hoping that this trip will give me the chance to make a real lasting difference in Ecuador and also provide me with the opportunity and experience to make a real difference to my future.

Over the next 18 months, I will be fundraising to help raise money for my trip. I have all sorts of ideas, including sponsored walks, plant sales, car boot sales and I am already making and selling beaded jewellery and fairy light bottles. Any contributions you can make for now to help fund this opportunity would be very much gratefully received and I will keep you up to date on all the initiatives I get up to.
