We are three recent graduates from King's College London and the University of Cambridge and we decided to devote our year to a reflection and research project with the aim of answering the following question: "How can Covid-19 be a motor of sustainable development?".
Our project, ECONOGY, is an initiative that aims at exploring the implications of the Covid-19 for economic development with particular insights on green growth alternatives and social development.
Our aim is to create a review bringing together several articles tackling our research question. It will be organized around the 17 Sustainable Development goals for 2030, proposed by the UN.
We will be presenting our findings to schools, companies, and public partners and hope to sensitize the population and provide them with individual and collective solutions.
We want to gather a large number of actors around this research topic, organize their reflexion and create a community. Indeed we are all affected by Covid-19 and should all be concerned by Sustainable Development.
For this project to be successful, we would like to work directly with organizations sharing our values. Ideally, if the sanitary conditions permit it, we would want to take part in eco-projects and/or volunteer to get closer to the local populations and solve our initial research question efficiently.
The funds gathered will be used to pay for the research expenses (flights and transportation expenses, material, content creation and publication, living expenses... ). Our aim is to keep the expenses as low as possible and we will be contributing financially, ourselves, to the project.
Your (financial but mostly moral) support is the essence of the project. It is what will make it grow and will give it all its meaning. We are behind thankful for your contribution and interest, it might seem small to you but means a lot to us!
