Eclipse Chocolate: Future Shares

On March 15th, Eclipse Chocolate: Bar & Bistro was forced to close to public dining due to the COVID-19 crisis, resulting in a 90% reduction of our revenues. To adapt, we immediately transformed into a grocery, offering necessities in-store & online for contactless curbside pickup.

We continue to source farmhouse-fresh eggs from Eben-Haezer Poultry Ranch in Ramona, locally-farmed fruits & veggies from Specialty Produce, & affordable dry goods from Sysco. This allows us to stay open while continuing to feed our neighbors safely & swiftly. While this new revenue will not cover our existing overhead, it will significantly curb our mounting expenses during this crisis, thereby allowing a faster recovery.


Many of our neighbors have asked how they can help, because our community is tightly connected through food. 

Through our "Future-Shares for a Shared Future", individuals can pledge to support us during this unusual phase. In honor of our 10% Pledge, 10% of each pledge will be given to the San Diego Food Bank to help feed local community members in need. The remaining 90% will become a reward gift code for use in our online store, which we will send to you after the COVID-19 crisis has passed. 

For example, an individual purchasing $100 of Future-Shares will have a $90 credit to use after we have resumed normal operations, & $10 of their purchase will be donated to the food bank.

Participants will be able to redeem their reward through our online store. These future shares will allow us to stay afloat & wade through these challenging times. We will continue to share updates on our ongoing operations during this challenging, unpredictable period. 

Your Future-Shares reward credit could be used toward anything we offer online, including special event tickets to Supper Club or Chocolate Date Night, or chocolate shipped anywhere in the US.
