The Buchanan Family

On Monday 11th September, our lovely Kat was suddenly and tragically taken from us, at just 38 years old.

Kat was beautiful, inside and out. Caring beyond measure and hilarious, without intention. She was truly unique. Her humility and gentle nature were what drew so many of us to her, making her the wonderful person that we knew and loved so much.

She was Kev’s soulmate.

A devoted wife and the best mummy to their babies; Jack - 3, Isla - 21 months and Ava - 5 months.

She was a loving daughter to Martin and Caroline and more than just a sister to Rach. She was a wonderful friend to so many.

This has come as a huge shock to all who knew her, but none more so than Kev and the children.

Marrying Kev and starting a family were undoubtedly her proudest achievements. Creating a loving home for their three children and giving them the best in life - be it home cooked meals, weekly baby/toddler classes, craft sessions in the conservatory, or dancing the ‘chu chu wah’ - was paramount to her and a testament to the way in which Kev and Kat were raised themselves.

She loved her family immeasurably.

There is little we can do to ease their pain at this devastating time but I know that many of us would like to do ‘something’ to offer our love and support to Kev and the children.

To that end, we’ve set up this page with the hope that it will provide some small comfort, and help this wonderful family in coping with this tragedy.
