Hi, my name is Brooke, I am of the younger sister of Natalie Coucill.
Natalie passed away suddenly on the 29th of December 2025. She was only 47 years old with no pre-existing health conditions. She leaves behind a 14-year-old daughter -Ebony Rose and a devastated, tight-knit family.
We are currently making funeral arrangements and planning for Ebony's future and are humbly asking for a small donation to assist Nat's family in assisting their niece in this difficult time in lieu of flowers. All funds will directly assist Ebony and Natalies' family in helping to support her, as well as covering some funeral related costs.

On the 28th of December, just two days after a now treasured memory, being our family gathering on boxing day, Ebony was in her bedroom, where she lived alone with her mum, playing video games, just like any other normal day. When her mum, Nat, came into her room and said " Ebony I need help, there is something wrong with my head, call me an ambulance, call Brooke" Natalie was not in a good way almost instantly. Ebony witnessed her mother in a terrible state while she frantically picked up the phone and called 000.
Nat was able to speak to the operators briefly while Ebony called her dad, Heath, who recently moved around the corner to try and re-connect with Ebony. Heath arrived almost instantly. Nat was worked on at home with Ebony and heath present before being transported to hospital.
Heath called and informed me of the severity of the situation. I went to the hospital and was met with doctors after a waiting period. With the rest of the family waiting to hear what was happening. I was told straight - Our sister had a massive, level 5 stroke, which had also caused a ruptured aneurysm.
The doctors had said, as far as brain events go, it could not go any worse, and the chance of Natalie surviving and retaining any bodily or cognitive functions was zero. All of Natalies family attended, some flying interstate. To see Nat on life support machines with her 14-year-old daughter holding her hand at her bedside.
Natalie passed away the next day on the 29th of December with a large family group taking care of her, holding her hand and playing music and her favourite movie- Harry Potter.
Natalie was working full time and was supporting Ebony Mostly on her own. Heath, Ebony's dad, had only recently moved and was more involved in Ebony's life in the past 12 months. Ebony had a very strong attachment to her mother. Whenever Nat was away from her, she would get multiple calls from her daughter.
Ebony and Heaths life has now changed significantly without Nat. Nat had 6 siblings. Our goal is to step up and support Ebony and Heath in the ongoing future. Nobody could replace Nat as Ebony's mum. Her large family will do their best in her legacy.
