E-Bike for Cairngorm Confidence Outdoors CIC

I am Sarah Rathbone, founder of Cairngorm Confidence Outdoors Community Interest Company. My website is https://www.cairngormconfidenceotdoors.co.uk. I would like to raise enough funds to buy, service and insure, one Trek FS Powerfly 4 electric mountain bike and aim to do this by completing the Cairngorm to Coast 100km cycle ride on my emtb on 28th May 2022.  I will be completing the cycle with Muddy Trails mtb.

 

On 12th May last year I seriously injured my knee and thought that I would never be able to ride my mountain bike again. The new lease of life that my emtb has given to me is immeasurable and I wish to share the immense benefits towards wellbeing, mental health and confidence with anyone in the community who chooses to come and ride with us at Cairngorm Confidence Outdoors CIC . We aim to remove walls, remove barriers and remove limits and the emtb certainly matches our ambition as the anxiety of not being fit enough or good enough to ride  is removed and enables access to the outdoors in an achievable and exciting way.

 

The expense of purchasing an emtb is a barrier for people to being able to join in the numerous benefits of exercising outdoors. For a small hire fee and a very competitive cost to go out with a qualified mtb level 2 leader on a trail, our amazing Highland countryside can once again become more accessible to many.
