Who are Essex Boys and Girls Clubs?
Essex Boys and Girls Clubs were set up in 1939; since then we have supported the amazing volunteers who run our affiliated clubs to ensure that they are sustainable and continue to support local young people. We help communities to set up and run new youth provision and work with local partners to provide the best possible support.
We provide an extensive program of activities and events to create opportunities for young people aged 11-19 to develop their character, enhance their skills, encourage good health and wellbeing, promote good citizenship and build their own bright future.
We have at our core an adventurous ‘can-do’ spirit, maintaining the ethos that young people develop positive skills and social responsibility by taking on challenges together. Therefore we head to the mountains of England as often as possible with groups from our clubs in the flatlands of Essex.
We run a variety of projects across the county, from our RESPECT project which focuses on re engaging young people into education to our Holiday and Food Activity Programme which provides activities and a healthy meal for young people during the school breaks. If you would like to know more about what we do please head to our website essexboysandgirlsclubs.org

Supporting Essex Boys and Girls Clubs
We have set a fundraising target but there are other ways you can support EBGC during the cycle!
Donate kit or equipment, sponsor team jerseys, donate food items (cereal bars, high energy snacks or anything to keep the cyclists full of energy) or simply give us a wave or cheer as we cycle past!
We appreciate any way you can support the cyclists and EBGC on this journey!
We look forward to keeping you posted with training updates and pictures and of throughout the cycle!
