Ebarb's House on the Hill
Donation protected
All families have an origin, a place the family came from. A country, a region, a city, or a village. The family of John Tribb and Viola Ebarb came from a little white house on Santos Road in Ebarb Louisiana in Sabine Parish. The home sits on an iron ore and red clay plot of land located across the road from Saint Anns Catholic Church and Ebarb School. Five sons, three daughters, countless grandchildren and even great grandchildren were raised at this Ebarb home.
"The Hill" as it is known has been the sight of countless birthdays, fish fries, holiday gatherings, deer skinning's, and the Ebarb Easter Family Reunion for over 80 years. It is this little white home that brings the descendants of our Grandparents back to their origins year after year.
The years of use have taken a toll on the home, and it is time to refurbish the roof and some of the wood siding. We, the ancestors of John Tribb and Viola Ebarb are reaching out to our family and friends to help keep the home on the hill usable for generations to come. Let's pull together and make this dream a reality. We appreciate any and all help.
