Last night I got my heart broken in a way that hurt more than anything I could have ever imagined. I had to see not only my sister in law, but my brother, my best friend, my hero in pure fear and pain on the edge of losing it, knowing there was nothing I could do to stop the pain. That is the absolute worst I have felt in my 29 years on this earth.
Easton James Stichter arrived July 15th at 11:08pm. 3 lbs 4 oz At just 28 weeks. He made quite the entrance arriving in a unannounced suprise fashion bringing the entire family to their knees. And kept us on our knees with broken hearts as he flew away from us in a med evac helicopter to Orlando Fl leaving us all in nothing short of shock. No one more than Matt and Katie. Matt and Katie have been the Dream couple since day one. Just a good old boy and his high school sweetheart inseparable from the day they layed eyes on eachother a real hard working back breaking small town dream. Though I have no question that they will get through this trying time, the trouble is other than the emergency room, and the emergency c section and the 4 day stay at Advent Ocala, and a med evac chopper ride. Easton begins a 2 month journey at a hospital in Orlando that I'm told is the best of the best which comes with a costly commute. This is where he will grow big and strong. The truth is I will do absolutely anything and everything in my power to help, but It simply wont be enough to make a dent. So I reach out to all family and friends not for myself but for my big hearted big brother and his beautiful wonderful growing family who have so quickly found themselves in need of an assist. For the time being Katie remains at Advent Health Ocala doing well. While Matt and Easton are steaking out in Orlando Advent Childrens. And my sweet baby niece Kaylie so gracefully and well behaved staying with friends and family while we all scatter to make this work. This is a tough hand to be dealt but I'm keeping them both in my prayers. If you read this please share it. God bless.
