East Coast Charity Walk
Hello! We are Steve and Stuart and we're part of the management team at the Lowestoft Poundland store. Being apart of this company has given both us and other staff members the brilliant opportunities to work with local and national charities, creating amazing memories and raising lots for those in need.
We're am planning an East Coast charity walk to help raise money for four amazing charities. This walk will take place on Sunday 3rd October and will have a route from our Great Yarmouth store to Southwold, 26 miles on the whole! A few other members of staff will be joining us along the way too!
Let us introduce the four amazing charities...
Firstly, we have a local organisation run by the incredible Mel! Mel is the sole runner of Butterbean Bizarre and has won many awards for the amazing work she has done over the years. Butterbean Bizarre host many activities and events to raise money for Autism focused charities.
Secondly, we have Wizz Kidz. Wizz Kidz is an organisation that helps to transform wheelchairs users lives, wanting their lives to be filled with fun, freedom and friendship.
Next we have Make A Wish. Make A Wish's goal is to make dreams come true and make sure critically ill children lives are not just about their illness, but to fill their hearts with joy and wonder.
Lastly, we have Tommy's. Tommy's is a charity focused on supporting families through pregnancy and after baby loss. Tommy's pride themselves on researching baby loss and are on the way to creating a safer and more well informed environment for expecting families.
Our aim is to raise £1,000 and any donations are kindly appreciated. We understand not everyone has spare change to donate but there are a few other ways to support our charity walk! You can share our Go Fund Me page with your friends, families, pets, everyone or talk a walk to our Lowestoft store and donate into our charity buckets located at the tills!
