East Bridgford Play Area Revamp
Donation protected
The East Bridgford Play Area Working Group, with the support of East Bridgford Parish Council are raising funds to greatly improve our tired playground.
The current play area is out dated, very expensive to maintain, completely inaccessible to those with mobility issues, hazardous in some areas and quite frankly “a bit boring!”
We need your help to create a bright, fun and truly inclusive centre to our village. Help us to create the park our children want to play on and help us GET RID OF THE SAND!
Initial feedback was overwhelmingly in favour of losing the sand and making the uneven ground a safe and inviting space for our children to play.
There are some very exciting proposals in the pipeline for East Bridgford park. The new plans involve brand new equipment for all ages and abilities. We have first hand experience of disabled people having to wait outside the gates of the park because it’s not possible to push a wheelchair across the ground. A number of inclusive play pieces have been proposed to ensure that EVERYONE can enjoy the park together. Grants and funding are available for some parts of the redevelopment however we need to raise extra money to be able to create a level ground and to remove overgrowth from the boundaries.
Any amount you can give will be very gratefully received. If you are unable to donate financially at this time, perhaps you could spare some of your time to physically help with the project? If so, please contact us.
