Hi friends, family, and fellow travelers of spirit and story—
My name is Nahom, and this summer, I’ll be traveling with my father, Adam Abegaze, on a powerful journey through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda—three countries that hold deep meaning and future promise for us both.
This trip is about purpose, legacy, and reconnection—and we’re asking for your help to make it possible.
Why We're Going
For my dad, Adam, this is a service-driven mission. Traveling under the banner of his congregation and in partnership with his own foundation, he’s launching initiatives to support vulnerable communities in East Africa, beginning in Ethiopia.
We’ll also be engaging in formal meetings in Mombasa, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda to connect with local leaders and explore long-term partnerships.
For me, this journey is multilayered:
- We’ll both renew our Ethiopian Origin ID cards, maintaining our legal and cultural ties to the homeland
- I’ll serve as organizer and co-dreamer in my father’s work
- ️I’ll be using my oratory and communication skills to share my personal story—from my early years in Ethiopia to building a life in the U.S., traveling the world, and contemplating a future return home

We’re already committed—flights are being researched and booked, logistics are in motion, and our hearts are fully in. But to make this journey fully possible—to do it in a way that’s meaningful, well-documented, and impactful—we need your help.
Your support doesn’t just fund travel. It amplifies a mission, sustains a legacy, and helps create space for the kind of reconnection that’s generational.
